TunerVerse — Privacy Policy

TunerVerse (“the app”) is a guitar tuner made by João Pedro Correia Gonçalves, the creator of BackingTracksVerse (Portugal). This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short, the app does not collect, store or share any personal data.

Microphone

The app needs access to your device’s microphone to hear your guitar and detect the pitch of each string.

• The sound is analysed in real time, on your device.

• Audio is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere, to us or to anyone else.

• The microphone is only active while the tuner is running. It stops when you press Stop or leave the app.

You can turn off microphone access at any time in your device settings. The tuner will not work without it.

Data stored on your device

The app remembers your last selected tuning and your reference pitch (e.g. A = 440 Hz) so they are ready the next time you open it. This information stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

What we do not do

• No account or sign-up

• No collection of your name, email, location, contacts or device identifiers

• No analytics or tracking inside the app

• No advertising

• No sale or sharing of data with third parties

Other permissions

• Vibration / haptics: a short vibration when a string is in tune.

• Keep screen on: the screen stays awake while you are tuning.

Neither of these involves any personal data.

The app contains links to backingtracksverse.com. If you tap a link, the page opens in your web browser, outside the app. The website has its own privacy and cookie policy, which applies to anything that happens there.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data, it collects no data from children.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to ask about any personal data held about you. The app does not hold any, but you can contact us with questions at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
